Bombilla (pronounced bomb-bee-ya) is a metallic strainer straw used to strain out the Yerba mate leaves. The bombilla is placed inside the mate and after hot water is poured in, the mate is sipped through the straw. While the bombilla is linked most often to Yerba mate, it does have a variety of other uses and can be employed whenever straining is needed. Our bombillas are all stainless steel, will not rust, and should last for years.
